“Love Which Costs Something: the Mark of the Christian”
Scriptures: John 13:31-35 and Galatians 5:22-26
I recently had an unexpected surprise witnessing the general public applaud a Christian. It occurred in a local movie theater after watching the movie Hacksaw Ridge. Hacksaw Ridge is the true story of Desmond Doss, a United States army soldier during World War II who refused to carry or fire a weapon. Desmond was a Christian who insisted on obeying the Sixth Commandment – “Thou shall not kill.” But Desmond also loved this country and believed it was his duty to protect religious liberty and freedom.
