Great News! Reverend Terry Epling has been selected as Interim Pastor by the Session and approved by the Presbytery. Reverend Epling is very familiar with Dardenne Presbyterian Church – its congregation, ministries, and missions. He served as the Stated Clerk of Giddings-Lovejoy Presbytery from 2001 to 2016. In that capacity, he has preached at DPC and participated in DPC worship and events. Most recently, Terry was serving as the Interim Pastor at Cape Girardeau First Presbyterian Church. His wife, Annie, is also a pastor serving Faith Des Peres Presbyterian Church in Frontenac. They have four children. Their oldest, Henry, attends The College of Wooster in Ohio. Their son, Tommy, is a senior and their daughter, Julia, is a freshman at Kirkwood High School. Their youngest, Charlotte, is a fourth grader at Tillman Elementary in Kirkwood. Reverend Epling looks forward to getting to know everyone better and serving alongside church members during this important period of finding a senior pastor.
Andrew was installed as the Associate Pastor in August 2014 at Dardenne Presbyterian Church. He is the son of a Presbyterian minister and has lived throughout the country. While he considers Jacksonville, FL his hometown, he has also lived in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Georgia, and most recently California. Andrew received a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from the University of Florida, his Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA, and received his Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA.
Since his ordination in 2007, he has served as Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Burbank in Burbank, CA where he preached, taught Bible studies, ran the Student Ministry program, and led the worship team.
Andrew and his wife Caitlin were married in 2012 in Hollywood, CA. In addition to Andrew’s role at the church and Caitlin’s job in Los Angeles as a teacher, they served as the onsite Care Coordinators for an emancipated teen program in Burbank. Andrew loves college football (especially the Florida Gators), playing basketball, picking his guitar, and collecting antiques. Caitlin is passionate about discipling women and writing her blog.
Andrew and Caitlin love the Dardenne Presbyterian Church family and are excited about being a part of the work that God is doing in and through the church.
Title: Director of Children’s Ministries and Mother’s Day Out
Hours: Tuesday-Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Sunday 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM
I was born and raised in Johnstown, Pennsylvania (The Flood City). Zion Lutheran Church was where I was baptized, confirmed, and married. I attended the University of Pittsburgh (PITT) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. After college, I worked as a bank teller until I was hired as a 4th grade teacher. We lived in Harrisburg, PA and Boston, MA, until a job transfer moved us to St. Charles in 1987.
I have two children who were both baptized at my home church and confirmed here at Dardenne. Kyle is a graduate of the University of Missouri at St. Louis where he obtained a degree in Finance. Kyle and his wife Leyna were married on June 15th of this year. (I am officially a mother-in-law!) Kara attended Lindenwood University, majoring in Elementary Education. She was married here at Dardenne on November 15th to her fiancé, Justin. I am enjoying being a grandma.
I came to Dardenne as a mom looking for a preschool for Kara. Adam Lamb Preschool was getting ready to open its doors in September of 1987 and she was in the first 3 year old class. Kara also attended kindergarten here (yes, we had a kindergarten for several years.) For 2 years I was the substitute teacher and then hired as a full-time teacher for 2 years. In September of 1991, I was hired as the Director of Christian Education and though my job title has changed, with some additions and subtractions, I have been doing the same job all these years. That makes me the staff member with the most years of service. My duties include overseeing the Children’s Sunday School Program, the Nursery, Wednesday Bible Clubs, Mini MAD camp, and Vacation Bible School (VBS). I also direct the Mother’s Day Out program and lead Chapel for the preschool.
In my spare time, I love to garden, read, bowl, scrapbook, spend time with my children and friends, and travel when I can. If I could move all of us (that includes you who are reading this), closer to the ocean, I would spend every spare moment at the beach!
God has blessed me with the opportunity to serve Him and the members of Dardenne for more than 18 years. If you need some exercise and feel like a walk, stop by my office at the end of the building closest the Rock Church, and say hi!
Becky joined our staff at Dardenne Presbyterian Church as the Director of Youth Ministry in March of 2017. Becky and her husband, Roy, have been married for over 18 years, and they have four children: Spencer, Noah, Griffin, and Sydney. Becky graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1996 and has over 20 years in leadership development working with teens, parents, and families. In her spare time, Becky enjoys reading, baking, and running, but ultimately her heart beats for raising up Kingdom changers of all ages. As a family, the Kronauges can’t wait to meet people and get plugged in. When you see them around, stop to say hi, and give them high fives or hugs.

After moving to Lake Saint Louis with husband, Jerry, and thereafter two children, Karla served as the Director of Music at Dardenne Presbyterian for 25 years, establishing three children’s choirs, a youth choir, three hand-bell choirs, a string ensemble and a band. In addition to directing the adult choir, she served as musical director for VBS and children’s musicals. After her retirement from DPC, she served as interim choir director, praise team leader and established the Children’s Music program at Grace Presbyterian Church, a new church plant. It was her great honor to serve there until she felt the Lord calling their family back to Dardenne. Karla says, “It is an enormous blessing to once again serve the Lord and His people in the church that has meant so much to our family over the years. Thank you for this renewed opportunity to guide our precious children in an understanding of what it means to worship and glorify God with His gift of music
