It has been a wonderful four years since I first arrived at Dardenne Presbyterian Church as the Associate Pastor. Not only have you been our family, but also you have modeled out the love of Jesus Christ in so many ways. This past Sunday I was both honored and humbled by your response to the congregational vote approving me as your next Pastor.
Over the past few days I have appreciated your words of encouragement and prayers and can’t tell you enough about how excited I am to be a part of Dardenne Presbyterian Church’s future. We have seen God do so much and I am thankful for the way that He has blessed this church and its ministries for over 199 years. As we look ahead to next year and the celebration of our 200th birthday, and then to the next 200 years and beyond, I can’t wait to see what God is going to do as we build upon the legacy of those who have come before us. It is a legacy that not only challenges us to become more fully committed disciples of Jesus Christ, but also to be a community of faith that continually seeks to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to our community and the world. Even with all of the remarkable things that God has done in and through this church, I still believe that the best days of Dardenne Presbyterian are still to come.
Please continue to pray for Dardenne Presbyterian as we seek God’s mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Your Friend and Pastor,
